Private & NDIS therapy in Cockburn

On April 2021, Therapy Inc opened its first clinic, in Beeliar Drive,
Success. Really proud of what we’ve achieved so far. It’s such a privilege working in this community.

We’re a small team of skilled people providing NDIS and private services in:

Here’s a little history of Cockburn, Success, Beeliar and Yangebup.

They’ve been occupied by the Beeliar Nyungar people for tens of thousands of years. These people had deep spiritual, cultural, and economic ties to the area’s coastal zones and, most significantly, the chain of freshwater wetlands. There were camp sites along the edges of Walliabup (Bibra Lake) and Coolbellup (North Lake), which provided food, water and shelter, and were important meeting places for trade and ceremonies. The creation of these wetlands by the Waakal (or Wagyl) rainbow serpent) is part of the Dreaming.

After European settlement, Captain Stirling named Cockburn after Sir George Cockburn, the “Sultan of the Sea”. He was an admiral during the Napoleonic Wars. There was a short-lived settlement near Woodman Point and it took about 60 years for region began to develop as a market gardening, dairying, and orcharding area. All driven by the expanding population of Perth and Fremantle  during the 1890s gold rush.

For most of the 20th century, Cockburn was semi-rural, with a growing industrial sector, including the Robb Jetty abattoirs and the South Fremantle Power Station. Post World War II; rapid suburban growth, driven in the 1980s by the extension of the Kwinana Freeway.

This region is our home. We are so proud to be providing speech, physio and mental health services in this thriving hub.
